In the early 1980s, the science of non-surgical cosmetic medicine took a giant step forward with the FDA approval of injectable collagen, designed to replace collagen lost due to aging or scarring. Sun spots and rough, ruddy environmentally damaged skin texture is improved with these no-downtime lasers. New advancement in leg vein therapy allows many unsightly leg veins to be treated with sclerotherapy and laser, alone or in combination, in lieu of surgery.
